Dear church Family,
We are living in unprecidented times. Never before have there been greater opportunities for spreading God's gospel message to a world in chaos. For many hope is dashed and uncertainty abounds. People are wondering what the future holds. We have a blessed picture of the future. The final pages of this worlds drama are unfolded in Scripture and it is our priviledge to carry this message from house to house telling people to be ready for the coming of Jesus. For the moment where we live we have peace and freedom to spread God's word.
Let us make the most of this time and opportunity for it will not last. We are nearing a time when we will be greatly restricted if not forbidden to give a full clear presentation of God's plan of salvation and harmonious christian living. Let us not be caught up in devisive wranglings and name calling as some are prone to do. It should be our study and effort to present our message of hope in a clear inviting way. We have a message of judgement but not a message of condemnation. It is a call to come out and be separate from the world but not a call to be judgemental and condesending to those who do not have our convictions. The love of Christ must be burning in our hearts toward others both in and out of the church. Peter reminds us that all will be judged 1 Peter 4:7-8 (King James Version) (7) But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. (8) And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (18) And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (19) Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. Then in Judes closing verses he reminds us of our urgent calling. Jude 1:21-23 (King James Version) (21) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (22) And of some have compassion, making a difference: (23) And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
May God help us to catch a flame of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to be participating in His final rescue mission. Let us be encouraging each other in this grand work.
Yours in Hope and Love,
Pastor Wint
